VIDEO:”NO MORE SIT -AT-HOME!!!”, ENUGU RESIDENTS CHANT AS THOUSANDS MARCH PEACEFULLY AGAINST EKPA’S ORDER
Over four thousand Enugu residents took to the streets of the Coal City chanting “No more Sit At Home!” “No more Sit At Home!!”, as they protested against a continuation of the illegal order from Simon Ekpa, the Finnish based terrorizer of his people.
The exercise dubbed,”Peaceful March Against Sit At Home in Enugu State” was greeted with enthusiasm by citizens and residents of Enugu despite threats from Ekpa last night, on social media that ” Enugu would be HOT today”.
As early as 8 am, the concerned citizens and residents gathered under the auspices of a Coalition of Civil Society groups and marched round the state to encourage the people to return to their Monday businesses.
Rev Ambassador Emmanuel Ede, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN kick-started the March with prayers at the iconic Okpara square.
The protesters carried banners and placards with inscriptions such as ”Enough is Enough”
“Say no to Sit at Home in Enugu”, “Allow the poor to breathe”, ‘Our mumu don do”, “Enugu people must be freed from the shackles of those who want to hold it down”, among others.

and Women Support Women, Ebuka Okoh, President, National Youth Council of Nigeria,NYCN, Enugu State and Charles Ogbu, Executive Director, Leave No one Behind Initiative.
Ndị Enugu of all ages and political persuasions called his bluff and embarked on what many called a “March for Freedom”.
According to them, Ekpa, using blackmail, violence and threats had forced Ndigbo, a people known as Freedom fighters and ultra Republicans, to become “zombies that he operated with remote control from the confines of his Finnish hideout”
Moses Ofor, a 78 year old war veteran who served in both the Biafran Army and the Nigerian Army participated in the March despite the long distance covered from Okpara square, Independence Layout, through Ogui Road, to Ogbete Main Market, through Ọkpara Avenue, through Ebeano Tunnel to Otigba Junction and back to Okpara square.
According to him,”I’m marching because Ndigbo must rise up as a nation of freedom fighters and warriors to say “No!” to misguided elements like Ekpa being used by our enemies to destroy Igbo land. Enough of this nonsense!”
The Governor of Enugu, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah on assumption of office, declared that the state will not obey the illegal order with all known Biafran groups including the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra,IPOB, Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Eastern Peoples Congress, EPC, etc
