VIDEO:POLICE/ VIGILANTE SMASH NSUKKA CHILD STEALING SYNDICATE SELLING BABIES TO YAHOO BOYS
Enugu – Operatives off the Enugu State Police Command have smashed an Nsukka Child Stealing Syndicate that specializes in supplying yahoo boys with babies they use for their rituals such as Okeite.
According to a press statement by DSP Dan Ndukwe, the state’s police Public Relations Officer on Sunday, one Ifeanyi Omeke, aged 21, was arrested at Igogoro, Enugu-Ezike, Igbo-Eze North LGA by police operatives working with the Neighborhood Watch, after he sneaked into the complainant’s house in the mentioned community and attempted to steal a one-year, three-month-old girl child.
Police Operatives of the Enugu State Command, serving in the Igbo-Eze North Police Division, working with the Neighborhood Watch Group, has smashed a child stealing syndicate and arrested one Ifeanyi Omeke aged 21, at Igogoro Village in Enugu-Ezike community of Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, on October 27, 2023, at about 1.30 p.m.
- The suspect was nabbed after he sneaked into the complainant’s house in the mentioned community and attempted to steal a one-year, three-month-old girl child.
- The suspect confessed to the crime, stating that he was contracted by his cohorts at large to steal children for ritual and other criminal purposes.
- Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State CID for further thorough investigation that will lead to the arrest of other members of the criminal syndicate and their prosecution.
