UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA TO ADOPT ASSOCIATION OF CREATIVE WRITERS (ACREW), UNEC AS IT’S OFFICIAL CREATIVE WRITERS CLUB

Enugu – Nigeria’s premier university, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has adopted the Association of Creative Writers (ACREW) as it’s official creative writers’ club.

This was disclosed by Dr. F.O Anaeme at the Association’s event marking the end of Orientation for the induction (investiture) of the Association’s new members. He described the Association as an excellent platform for nurturing writing prowess, creativity and leadership.

Presiding over the event, the Alumni Coordinator of the body – Barr. Jude Ugonna presented the new Executive Officers to the Association’s Patron, who in turn is expected to present them to the Association’s Pen-Master/Chancellor – Hon. Justice G.C Nnamani PCCA, FciArb in due course.The extant President of the Association – Chibuzo Idoko set up a seven-man committee headed by the Association’s Secretary – Godsent Ozioko (as Chairman) and Eze Mercy Chekwube (as the Alternate Chairman) to organize the 2023 induction program.

The event featured among other things – leadership statements, songs, readings, vision statements and words of encouragement.


Other dignitaries that gave words of advice were Dr. B.U Ugwoke , Deputy Chief lLibrarian in charge of the Faculty of Law Library, UNEC and Dr. Amos Ugwuoti from the department of Survey and Urban Planning.
