UGWUANYI’S KINSMEN ALLEGEDLY OSTRACIZE REAL ESTATE GURU, DR CHARLES MBA OVER EKWEREMADU’S ATTENDANCE AT HIS 50TH BIRTHDAY BASH

Dr Charles Ndubuisi Mba, a Lagos based real estate guru and philanthropist has been allegedly ostracized by the Oha Orba, the General Assembly of Orba people.

In a video that has gone viral, one Chief Godwin Ugwueze is seen conducting proceedings as the Oha Orba allegedly ostracized Dr Mba for allowing Senator Prof Ike Ekweremadu, CFR PhD., the former Deputy Senate President to be his guest during his 50th Birthday celebration and Thanksgiving which he held on December 28th at his palatial country home in Orba.

Surprisingly, both Ekweremadu and Ugwuanyi sat together and interacted amicably during the occasion.

However, a key stakeholder in Orba, who prefers to be anonymous stated that the whole exercise of ostracizing, Dr Charles Mba, an illustrious son of Orba was a nullity.

According to him, the Onyishi Orba, Cosmas Onyeke, the eldest man in Orba, from Umugwu Orba, whose duty it is to pronounce ostracism, if deserved, was observably absent.

Secondly, according to him, the reason for the said ostracism was laughable and uncalled for since “the man in question never committed an offence by having Ekweremadu as a guest at his birthday celebration. Besides, all the notables in Orba, including the Governor graced the occasion”

These are seen by political analysts in Enugu State as being part of the intrigues accompanying the 2023 Enugu Governorship race where Senator Ekweremadu remains a key contender.

Recently, Engr Armstrong Agbo and Barr Emeka Asogwa, both known Ekweremadu associates were equally penalized by a section of Orba town for “daring to associate with their enemy”.

About a fortnight ago, Ekweremadu supporters were attacked while holding their meeting in Nsukka. It is hoped that this ugly trend is checked to avoid a descent by Enugu State into avoidable fratricidal orgy of violence.
