Nigerian singer, songwriter, television host and actor, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa better known as Charly Boy, has taken to social media to inquire about the state of health of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The thespian took to his Twitter handle to raise an alarm that he learnt that the All Progressives Party (APC) chieftain returned to Nigeria with a “charging port” to prevent his health from failing.
Tinubu ahead of his inauguration on May 29, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, on Monday afternoon from France, where he has been on vacation for more than a month.
Speaking to the crowd at the airport on his arrival, the President-elect assured Nigerians that he is strong, happy to be back and ready to commence the task ahead.
He said: “I’m happy to be back. I have rested, I’m refreshed and I’m ready for the task ahead.”
“Forget about what the rumour mill may have told you. I’m strong, very strong.”
However, after his speech, pictures showing a plastic syringe fastened to his right elbow joint surfaced on the internet, with many netizens suspecting the tube to be a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC line).
Reacting to the viral online photos and rumours that the former Lagos State governor returned from his trip with a “PICC line” Charly Boy asserted it would be catastrophic if the pictures were true.
Taking to his Twitter handle he wrote: “Wahala wahala wahala.
“I hear say Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu don come back & that he now has charging port in case battery runs down.
“Is it true?”
