STAY ALERTS FLAGS OFF TRIBAL PEACE AND COEXISTENCE CAMPAIGN IN MARKETS AND COMMUNITIES IN NIGERIA

STAYALERT HUMANRIGHT AWARENESS INNTIATIVE, an Abuja based NGO whose key focus is security, peace building and National integration recently flagged off her national Peace Event tagged TRIBAL PEACE AND COEXISTENCE CAMPAIGN IN MARKETS AND COMMUNITIES IN NIGERIA.

The event which is meant to hold in all the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria was flagged off in Abuja by the Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon Adamu Candido.

Many government dignitaries and representatives including the fct minister of state, NTA chairman, market and community leaders, politicians etc.
The aim of the TRIBAL PEACE AND COEXISTENCE CAMPAIGN IN MARKETS AND COMMUNITIES IN NIGERIA is to preach peace and co existence among the peoples of Nigeria regardless of religious or tribal differences.

According to Hon Lary Onah, Executive Director, Stay Alert Human Rights Initiative, the program is meant to encourage peaceful co-existence among Nigerians

“We hope to visit all the major markets in every state in Nigeria including rural communities to preach peace and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria”

“Tribalism and nepotism remain stumbling blocks to Nigeria’s march to greatness. As such, this is my humble contribution towards ensuring that we have the Nigeria of our dream, where we shall all live together in peace and harmony like one big family”
The dignitaries talked about the need for peace and called on the citizens to support Stayalert human right and the government to ensure peace in the country. Awards of Excellence were given to deserving citizens. The Award is tagged,( TRIBAL PEACE AMBASSADOR).

Some of the awardees include: CSP Ugochukwu Uhuegbu, DPO Lugbe Police Station, Engr. Olalekan, VIO Officer, Lugbe office, etc.
