SOLUDO WAITS TILL NOVEMBER 9TH AS ANAMBRA ELECTION IS INCONCLUSIVE
Awka: Prof Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has to wait until Tuesday, 9th November, 2021 before being most likely declared winner of the Anambra State Governorship Election.
Election in Ihiala LGA did not hold due to security and logistics concerns was rescheduled to Tuesday, 9th November, 2021.
According to the results announced by Prof Florence Obi, Returning Officer of the election and Vice Chancellor, University of Calabar, APGA is leading having polled 103,946 votes with the Chief Val Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic who came a distant second with 51322 votes.
However, out of the declared results from 18 LGAs, APGA won in 18 whereas the Young Progressives Party (YPP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won in Nnewi North and Ogbaru LGAs respectively.
