SOLUDO VISITS OBIANO

Awka: Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, on Friday paid a solidarity visit to his predecessor, Chief Dr Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano, at his Aguleri country home.
Details of issues discussed during the visit still remain sketchy as at the time of publishing this story.
However, informed analysts believe it is a political move to show that their is no strain in the relationship between the duo.
Soludo’s revelation that Obiano left the paltry sum of N500 million in the State’s coffers resulted in heavy criticism of Obiano.
This has not allegedly gone down well with Obiano’s camp who believe that Soludo’s statement, even if it is true was “uncalled for” and meant to paint his predecessor in bad light.
After all, according to them, Obiano took a very bold and risky decision by supporting his emergence as his successor despite Soludo’s known “independent nature”
Again, some analysts believe that Chief Mrs Ebele Obiano’s appearance in the photograph was an image laundering effort ahead of her Senatorial campaign under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
This became necessary after the “Farewell Slap” the former Anambra State first lady received from Iyom Bianca Onoh during Soludo’s inauguration and the attendant negative public backlash on Mrs Obiano.
