SIT AT HOME:FIVE KILLED; THREE IN EBONYI, TWO IN NNEWI, IPOB ENFORCERS SMASH SHOPS IN ONITSHA

The controversial sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra, has already claimed some lives, as at noon, on Monday, the 9th of August, 2021.

Reports from Nnewi, Anambra State show that two people lost their lives in a confrontation between the Army and suspected members of IPOB.

The unfortunate incident happened at the Izuchukwu junction area of the Nnewi roundabout according to an eyewitness who alleged that the dead included a leader of IPOB alongside a commercial motorcyclist.

Vanguard reports that the problem started at about 7.00 am when some IPOB members allegedly came out to enforce the Sit at home order and in the process blockade the major roads in the industrial town.

Some unidentified soldiers were said to have rushed to the area to clear the items used to block the roads, and in the process an altercation ensued between them and the IPOB members, leading to the soldiers opening fire on them.

 

Also, in a video that has gone viral masked men believed to be ESN /IPOB operatives were seen in a neighbourhood at Awada, Obosi in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, going from street to street, armed with knives, smashing the wares of those who opened their shops.

In Uburu, Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi State, three IPOB members were shot dead during a confrontation with soldiers.
