The talents were quite unsuspecting of the gesture. The goal is to catch them whilst they weren’t expecting it, it was such a natural recruitment.
The football Talent Scouting company was at UPE Primary School, Oji River last Saturday 24th April 2021, also they went to Diamond Field Awgu on 25th April.
After the scouting and recruitment, the talents were camped for days at NSDC Academy at Adu Achi, Oji River for adequate and professional training, pending their match with the Warri team.
The talents recruited was enough to make two teams for the GREATER AWGU FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION (GAFA).
In appreciation to this Gesture, the coordinators and executives of the teams, lauded the Lawmaker as well as every other well meaning Governmental and non-government personalities that has contributed to the journey so far, while asking for more encouragement from other persons.
Reports shows that the first team played to the best of their current abilities, but lost to Effurun Warri team. This is because disallowed the team’s first goal. It ended in two to one (2-1).
However, the match between Team B Greater Awgu and Team Warri ended in a one nil in favour of the Greater Awgu lads.
