PDP STOPPING ME FROM WORKING FOR YOUR ELECTION – GOVERNOR ORTOM TELLS OBI

Abuja: The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom on Wednesday said he would have worked for the success of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi if he were not a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Ortom made this assertion while hosting the former PDP Vice presidential candidate and former Anambra State governor at his private residence in Abuja.
The Benue governor is a member of the G-5, a group of five PDP Governors, who are allies of Governor Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike of Rivers State who have boycotted the party’s presidential campaign, insisting that the PDP National Chairman, Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu must step down for a southerner.
From and members of the Wike’s camp have not been seen at the rallies of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, casting doubt on whether the governors will back Atiku or another candidate in next February’s election which has been described by analysts as a three-horse race among Obi, Atiku and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress.
