OHANAEZE PG, CHIDI IBEH VISITS DR JOE NWAORGU AS PART OF NATIONWIDE CONSULTATIONS

Enugu: Chief Engr Chidi Ibeh, MFR, President General, Ohaneze Ndigbo recently led members of his Executives to pay a courtesy call on Dr. Joe Goziem Nwaorgu, PhD (Cambridge), (Ugwumba Ngor Okpala) Former Secretary General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo at his Enugu residence.
In his adresss, Chief Ibeh stated that the visit was in continuation of their consultation and interaction with Ohanaeze chieftains, in order to chart a way forward for the Igbo apex body.
Currently, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization is undergoing crisis and factionalization as a result of controversies arising from her January, 2021 National Elections.
“Deede, we are here to consult you, to brief you and to seek your advice on how to restore Ohanaeze Ndigbo to its former glory.
“Ours is a rescue mission, to salvage Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Igbo patrimony from those who want to trade it off to external forces. We shall not relent”
Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Secretary General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo stated that they came to seek Dr. Nwaorgu’s blessings
“Ugwumba, in Ohanaeze, you are an institution, you are an oracle. We are here today, to seek your blessing as we cannot succeed without your fatherly counsel”
In his response, Dr. Nwaorgu, who was one of the candidates for President General in the controversial Ohanaeze Ndigbo elections that withdrew from the race owing to alleged lack of transparent in the process, thanked them for finding him worthy for their consultation
“I thank you all for finding me worthy of your consultation.
” We shall continue to do all we can to restore Ohanaeze Ndigbo to its former enviable height as the Igbo apex body”.

Earlier, the Chidi Ibeh-led Ohanaeze Ndigbo National Executive Committee had paid such consultative visits to other Igbo elders such as Prof Tim Uzodinma Nwala, President, Alaigbo Development Foundation and Chief Tony Okeke – Ojiudu(Zodiac Hotel)
