Enugu: Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa (Odalije) was a surprise guest at the Birthday party held in honour of Lady Dr. Nwanneka Ekweremadu on Friday at the Ekweremadu’s Enugu residence.
According to Ohaa, his relationship with the Ekweremadu family dates back to their days in service under Governor Chimaroke Nnamani
“My relationship with the Ekweremadu family dates back to our days in service under then Governor Chimaroke Nnamani.
“I taught all of them the rudiments of the civil service.
“Again, Lady Ekweremadu is my professional colleague and we both served under the office of the Accountant General of the Federation”
In his response, the obviously elated Ekweremadu thanked Ohaa for his brotherly love
“I thank my brother, Chinyeaka Ohaa for his brotherly love. Actually, we met this morning, at the airport, on our way back to Enugu from Abuja.
“He promised to attend and here he is. This is politics without bitterness and I urge other Enugu politicians to emulate both of us.
“During his mother’s burial ceremony, I also attended”
Dignitaries at the occasion include Rt Hon Toby Okechukwu, Deputy Minority Leader, House of Representatives, Rt Hon Denis Oguerinwa Amadi, Member representing Udi /Ezeagu Federal Constituency, Hon Chinedu Okwu, Member representing Aninri State Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly.
Others include Chief Ezekiel Chukwu, Chairman, Aninri LGA, Hon Prince Gordi Agbo, Former Nigerian Ambassador to Japan, Chief Hon Iyke Anioma, Former Council Chairman, Nkanu East LGA and Hon. Barr Bethrand Ngwu, the Ukehe born strategist.
In his remark, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike commended the two front runners in the Enugu State 2023 Governorship race for their maturity.
“I commend these great men for teaching us how to play politics without bitterness. I urge Enugu youths and indeed Igbo youths to emulate them.
“Enugu State under Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a peaceful State. In fact, the brotherly love exhibited by Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa and Senator Ike Ekweremadu today is based on the precedent set by Governor Ugwuanyi and Senator Ekweremadu”
