Enugu: The Peter Obi fever has gone viral, gripping Nigerian youths in an unprecedented manner.
Today, a teenage girl donated N15, 000 to Mr. Peter Obi in support of his Presidential campaign project.
As Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party Presidential Candidate was driving away from the premises of Urban radio, 94.5 FM where he had been a guest on their flagship program – The Parliament, the teenager Covenant Onyebuchi boldly walked up to Hon Chiedozie Edeani, a Labour Party stalwart from Agbani, Nkanu West LGA, Enugu State and one of the pillars of the Peter Obi Grassroots Movement, POGM.
She explained her mission, pleading with him to help her get through the crowd. At that moment, Obi’s Presidential convoy was rearing to zoom off as the candidate was about entering his car.
According to Edeani, he was moved to assist her, “A look at her shows that she is harmless and calm. I encouraged her to step through and I helped her get to the presidential candidate’s moving SUV. It resulted to a misunderstanding between me and the Chief (security) detail of Mr. Peter Obi.
“She held on, pushed forward while the vehicles were moving, though slowly. Because she couldn’t give up, Chief Victor Umeh who was in the same SUV with the leader of the OBIDIENT MOVEMENT notified him of coming.
“The vehicle stopped and Obi alighted to inquire from her what she wanted. She explained that she heard on radio that Peter Obi was at Urban Radio. Therefore, she brought her savings to donate it to the Presidential project. She said its a total of 15k.
“Mr. Peter Obi received it from her and thanked her very much.
Its a movement of the people…”
Hon Edeani seized the opportunity to urge Ndị Enugwu to turn out enmasse for the Enugu Obidient Summit powered by the Peter Obi Grassroots Movement, POGM scheduled to hold on Saturday, 30th July, 2022 at Zodiac Hotels, Enugu.
