Enugu: The leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, South East extraction and the Directorate of Petroleum and Solid Minerals of the National body, on Thursday honoured Rev.Dr. Oscar Egwuonwu (Egwueji) with an award,in Enugu.
Rev Egwuonwu, a Senatorial aspirant for Enugu West Senatorial District under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP was honoured by the NYCN leadership as the Ambassador of National Economic Growth.
In his speech, Amb. Innocent Nduanya, the National Vice President, who represented the National President, NYCN, Amb. Sukubo Serigbe Sukubo commended Rev. Egwuonwu, popularly known as “Egwueji” by his teeming supporters for his indelible strides in youth empowerment and capacity building.
“Sir, on behalf of our leader, the National President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Amb Sukubo Serigbe Sukubo, I wish to commend you for your indelible strides in youth empowerment and capacity building.
“We are proud to be associated with you and urge you to continue with your youth friendly policies”
Other speakers equally eulogized Rev Dr Oscar Egwuonwu on his political engineering , capacity building amongst the youth and quest for economic growth of the Nigerian nation. They also wished him well in his political Quest for Enugu West in 2023 at the red Chambers.
In his speech, Rev Egwuonwu thanked the organisation for recognising him. He urged them to be worthy ambassador of the country.
