VIDEO:NYCN INTELLIGENCE COLLABORATION LEADS TO POLICE INTERCEPTION OF A TRUCK LOAD OF BUNKERED CRUDE OIL IN ENUGU

Enugu – Gallant officers of the Nigerian Police Force attached to the Inspector General of Police, IGP’s Squad on Illegal Oil Bunkering, Pipeline Vandalism & Petroleum Products Adulteration on Sunday, 26th March 2023 at about 11am, intercepted a truck load of bunkered crude oil in Enugu following the active intelligence collaboration of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN’s Taskforce on Illegal Oil Bunkering, Illegal Oil theft, Pipeline Vandalism and Petroleum Products Adulteration.

This followed an intelligence report about a Syndicate that specializes in the nefarious activities of Illegal Oil theft, illegal Oil Bunkering pipeline Vandalism and Petroleum Products Adulteration.

The NYCN Taskforce through its National Coordinator, Prince Nixon Ahanonu in Collaboration with it’s Security Consultant on Illegal Oil Bunkering, Pipeline Vandalism and Petroleum Products Adulteration Chipros Intercontinental Services Ltd, alerted the Commander, IGP Squad on Illegal Oil Bunkering, Pipeline Vandalism, illegal Oil theft who swiftly deployed officers from the squad assist to intercept and arrest the culprits.

Unfortunately, before the arrival of the policemen, the driver and the conductor of the truck have absconded, leaving the truck behind along Ibagwa-Nike road in the Abakpa Nike suburb of Enugu, the Enugu state capital.

From that day till date, members of the NYCN Taskforce on Illegal Oil Bunkering, Illegal Oil theft, Pipeline Vandalism and Petroleum Products Adulteration have ceaselessly kept surveillance on the truck with the help of a private Security outfit.

While speaking to journalists, Prince Nixon Ahanonu, National Coordinator of the NYCN Taskforce on Illegal Oil Bunkering, Illegal Oil theft, Pipeline Vandalism and Petroleum Products Adulteration restated his Taskforce’s resolve to rid Nigeria of the scourge of oil theft, oil bunkering and petroleum products adulteration.

“My Taskforce remains committed to fulfilling the mandate given to us by the NYCN President, Amb. Sokubo Sara-Igbe Sokubo, of ridding Nigeria of the scourge of Illegal Oil Bunkering, Illegal Oil theft, Pipeline Vandalism and Petroleum Products Adulteration.

“ We wish to assure oil thieves and petroleum products adulterators across the country that it is no longer business as usual.

“With the high level of cooperation and collaboration between us and the IGP Squad, there shall be no hiding place for these criminals and economic saboteurs.

He equally commended the NYCN President as well as members of his Taskforce for the success they have recorded so far.
“I salute the President of National Youth Council of Nigeria Amb. Sokubo Sara- igbe Sokubo and His National Executive Council, The Director National Youth Council of Nigeria, Directorate of Petroleum and Solid Minerals, Prince Datolu Sokubo, Comrade Temple Chinedu Chika, Comrade Sunday Udeh (Sunny Odogwu), The Managing Director of Chipros Intercontinental Services Ltd and all others who have confidence in the youth’s resolve to fight the menace of Illegal Oil Bunkering, Pipeline Vandalism and Petroleum Products Adulteration that has eaten deep into the Nation’s economy.

“Finally, I wish to commend the Agility , Doggedness, and responsive approach of the Commander IGP on Illegal Oil Bunkering, Pipeline Vandalism and Petroleum Products Adulteration and His team for the fight against this National Economic Sabotage. I also wish to report that there are series of Threats, calls from Proxies threatening thunder and brimstone including some Police officers who believed that they are above the be law.”
