MIKE OZEKHOME APPEARS IN COURT FOR NNAMDI KANU
Abụja’ Incarcerated Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has boosted his legal team through the engagement of the services of renowned constitutional lawyer and human rights activist, Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, ahead of his case today after the Federal Government amended the charges against him, bringing the number of charges to fifteen.
Ozekhome stormed the Federal High Court in company of Ifeanyi Ejiofor who had earlier been leading the team of lawyers for Kanu.
Ejiofor confirmed to that changes have been effected in the defense in view of the new charges from the Federal Government.
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up at the Court premises and its environs with every road leading to the Court being effectively blocked by operatives of the Department of the State Services, DSS.
With the amended charges, it appears that the Federal Government is not considering a political solution to Kanu’s continued detention.
