MBATA, OHANAEZE PG PAYS COURTESY VISIT ON REVERED IGBO MONARCH, AGUBUZU

Enugu – His Excellency, Senator John Azuta Mbata, the President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo recently paid a courtesy visit on HRM Igwe Ambassador L.O.C. Agubuzu (Eze Ogbunechendo, Ezema-Olo, Ezeagu LGA, Enugu State) at his Enugu palace.

Senator Mbata was accompanied on the visit by Prince Okey Nwadinobi (Deputy President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo) and Senator Ben Collins Ndu(Igwe Agubuzu’s kinsman and Mbata’s colleague in the senate).

Mazi Ikechukwu Bismarck Oji, MNSE, COREN (Assistant National Publicity Secretary, Ohanaeze Ndigbo) was also at the palace to welcome the esteemed visitors.

Igwe Agubuzu, after welcoming the PG and his entourage, expressed his joy at his election. He equally gave his some advice and encouragement regarding the task ahead.

“I see your election as the dawn of unity of the Igbo nation in Nigeria and throughout the world. You have a historic responsibility, do your best. Ndigbo have suffered so much”

On his own part, Mbata thanked the revered monarch for his hospitality and words of wisdom.

“The position given to me is not personal but a well thought out arrow in the right direction.”

Mbata stressed that the war did much damage to the psyche of the Ikwerres but assured the monarch that he and his excos would do their best.
