Enugu: The leadership of The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has stated its readiness to support Ebubeagu, the Regional Security outfit, recently unveiled by the South East Governors, if only the Governors do not allow the “Fulani controlled Federal Government to control it.”

A statement issued today, 14th April, 2021 by MASSOB Leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu, read in parts, :

“We salute the courage of our governors to eloquently approve and established the Southeast regional and indigenous security outfit called Ebubeagu.

“We support this tactical move. We shall work with them for the security of lives and properties of our people if they are willing to partner with MASSOB.”

MASSOB went further to warn the Governors against intimidation from the “Fulani controlled Federal Government”

“Ebubeagu is a welcome development. Our governors should not give room for any intimidation, subjection or private harrasment from the Fulani controlled federal government. The people of Biafra are solidly behind the Igbo governors on this security establishment.

“For the purpose of efficiency, proactiveness and eloquent security stability, MASSOB advised the Igbo governors to allow Ebubeagu security outfit to operate as Igbo native security operative as the name implies. They should not allow the Fulani controlled Nigeria police, army and DSS to dictate or influence Ebubeagu.

“The conscienceless Fulani terrorist heardsmen have betrayed and disappointed the confidence of Igbo governors on their beliefs on president Muhamadu Buhari. Our Igbo governors must always be conscious of Ndigbo’s interest in every aspect of Ebubeagu security outfit because MASSOB will never accept any undue influence from Arewa cabals.”

MASSOB also “warned that our South East governors should delete their political party interest, personal political interest and personal ego and work together as one Igbo family to achieve the goals of Ebubeagu”
