KANU DIRECTLY WARNS EKPA KILLER SQUAD AT THE COURT TODAY, “WE’RE FIGHTING TO DEFEND OUR PEOPLE, NOT TO KILL THEM”
Abuja: Finally, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the incarcerated Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB has directly warned the Ekpa Killer Squad to stop violence and killings in Biafra land.
In a viral video while speaking with his lawyers inside the court, the IPOB leader said:
“I want our people to be very calm. I want Biafra land to be calm and peaceful. Calm and very very peaceful. We are fighting to defend our people, not to kill them. That’s why I’m here. And we’ll continue to do so until we get victory.
Recall that Simon Ekpa, Leader of Ekpa Killer Squad has insisted that the Mondays Sit-at-home would continue until Kanu’s release despite directives from the IPOB hierarchy severally that their leader, Kanu had instructed that the exercise should be discontinued since it was causing his people so much untoward hardships.
Ekpa incited his group of dissidents also known as Autopilots to unleash violence and killings on fellow Biafrans, all in the name of Sit-At-Home enforcement, insisting Kanu must speak by himself, rather than through his lawyers, Emma Powerful, IPOB’s Director of Information or even Kanu’s family members, before they accept that the order came from him.
Perhaps, having gotten used to violence and bloodletting, Ekpa and his co-travellers will still insist that Kanu mentions their names individually.
