Abakiliki – The third batch of medical equipment procured by Ebonyi State Government for all general hospitals in the State has arrived the State Capital.
The medical equipment which arrived in 6 40ft containers, yesterday, September 29, 2024, comprises two-function beds, wheelchairs, drug trolleys, examination couches, hospital screens, orthopedic mattresses, bed side cabinets, hospital mattresses and drip stands, all in various quantities.
You will recall that the first batch of this procurement arrived earlier in the year on March 10, 2024, while the second batch arrived a few months ago – on July 27, 2024, with various equipment and consumables.
This is reassuring for Ebonyi people, that His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has continued his focus on ensuring that he delivers quality healthcare service to the citizens, especially bringing it closer to our rural dwellings, in accordance with his People’s Charter of Needs mantra.
This third batch has 7 trucks but only 6 has arrived the State, while the remaining one is expected later today.
