INEC BREACHED ITS OWN GUIDELINES; TECHNOLOGY DIDN’T FAIL, NOT UPLOADING RESULTS DELIBERATE – AUSTIN MAHO

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has been accused of deliberately breaching its own guidelines thereby undermining the electoral process.
This assertion was made this Tuesday morning by Dr Austin Maho, Editor in Chief, Daybreak Newspapers while speaking as a guest on Kaakaki, AIT’s flagship public affairs program.
According to him, the excuse of technical glitch was an afterthought, that not uploading results from the polling units, as enshrined in its own guidelines was deliberate.
He said:
“Failure of people leads to failure of technology because people process technology. The excuse of technical glitches was an after thought.
“INEC took Nigerians back to 2015. History repeats itself, only the characters change with Dino Melaye now playing the role Orubebe played.
Also, he asserted that BVAS byepass arose from electoral officers who allowed people who were not accredited by the BVAS to vote.
Finally, he urged the electoral umpire to heed the wise counsel of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.
“INEC should heed Obasanjo’s advice by canceling results in areas where there were infractions”
