Enugu: A drunk driver in his mid 30s was involved in a terrible auto crash around 2am, this Thursday morning, opposite Hotel Codial, Chime Avenue, New Haven, Enugu.
A 2012 Toyota Camry car rammed into a water tanker that was in motion.
According to an eyewitness, who helped convey the terribly injured occupants of the car to a nearby hospital, Posh Hospital, the driver of the car was drunk and had a female friend with him on the front seat.
“The driver confessed not to have seen the tanker ahead of him before ramming into it. The girl appeared to be in a more critical state”
The girl was alleged to be crying that she had lied to her mother about her whereabouts as blood gushed from her nostrils and other wounds on her body.
The entire bonnet of the car was squeezed backwards into the car by the impact of ramming into the water tanker.
Evidently, the driver was drunk, on high speed and to worsen matters, he was being intimately distracted by his female friend.
Lets pray that they don’t lose their lives.
