I’M OBIDIENT, MBAH WILL BE A CONTINUITY OF UGWUANYI’S FAILURE – FRANK NWEKE, JNR, ENUGU APGA GUBER CANDIDATE

Enugu: Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Mr. Frank Nweke II has stated emphatically that he is Obidient and “has been OBIdient from his childhood”.
The former minister of Information made this assertion recently during an interactive session with journalists at his Enugu residence in response to a question on whether he was Obidient.
His response to such a dicey question was cool and classical, with a smile he leaned forward and replied, “Yes, I’m Obidient. In fact, I have been OBIdient from my childhood.
Referring to an earlier question on his stand on restructuring, regional autonomy and regional integration, he added, “Our people (Ndigbo) should learn how to play politics. We should borrow a leaf from our geo-political zones, for instance, the South West, on issues affecting them as a region, they keep party affiliations aside and work as a team.
Going further, he stated that regardless of being a Governorship candidate of another party, he was convinced that Peter Obi was the most qualified to be the next President of Nigeria.
According to Wikipedia, “Frank Nnaemeka Nweke Jr is an ethical, exemplary and proven leader with over two decades of demonstrated success in high-level career roles spanning the public, private and civic sectors. He is a two-time Federal Minister in Nigeria and former Director General, Nigerian Economic Summit Group.”
On the issue of the promise of Dr Peter Mbah, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governorship candidate to ensure continuity of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s programs, Nweke had this to say:
“What kind of continuity is he talking about? A continuity of Ugwuanyi’s failures? Look at the achievements of Chimaroke Nnamani and Sullivan Chime in terms of infrastructure, health, education, etc.
“Under Ugwuanyi, there has been a total collapse of infrastructure in Enugu State. So
Nwake who was the Minister of Information In the then Administration of Olusegun Obasanjo the first democratic president of Nigeria, in an interaction with the press says he has been OBIdient since childhood and still OBIdient now and tomorrow.
Nweke in his address explained much on leadership which according to him “is embroided in our everyday life.
“Our system is solely affected with leadership, the going well and not going well of the system is solely by leadership. It can’t be overemphasized.
Nwake described the Security system in Nigeria as a classic picture of a failed system. He said every state must share the cohesive strength and powers which is the responsibility of the government to see to the well-being, welfare and security of the people.
As a candidate aspiring for the governor of Enugu state he said security is one of his priority. The level of insecurity in enugu is becoming alarming. The incident going on Igboeze north has woken up concerns when community leader was dealt by the army and almost at the point of death.
“Government should support the Armed forces by giving them physical support to carry out their assignment and take them Serios.
He also said that industrialization should be used to promote Enugu as this is being lacked in the state. The state grows economically if this is being implemented. Human development, investing in science and technology is also important.
