Igbo activists and social media influencers are commencing an online protest today, January 12th, 2022, for the release of Igbo youths allegedly abducted by soldiers of the Nigerian Army.

In a post on his Facebook page, Neche Chigaemezu urged other Igbo activists to join in the online protest for the release of Henry Chigaemezu Ikechukwu, his brother and other Igbo youths, the soldiers of the Nigerian Army allegedly “abducted

His post reads thus:

“Today we start our online protest for the release of our people locked up in different prisons in Biafraland and Nigeria. Everyday I will post an abducted brother or sister,we all will repost,share with the hashtag of the victim.The next day I will post another person and we will do same.So today we are starting with Mazi Henry.

“Mazi Henry Chigaemezu Ikechukwu, a native of Umundugba Imo State is a victim of HQ Nigerian Army abduction and forceful disappearance.

“On the 23rd August, 2021 at about 3am, Mazi Henry was abductèd in his house at Akwuke, Enugu South Local Government Area, Enugu State by the 82 Division Nigerian Army Enugu on the bogus allegations of being a member of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and that he planned to assassinate the Fulani Appointed Administrator of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma

“Since the 23rd of August of his abduction till date, no one knows the fate of Mazi Henry Chigaemezu Ikechukwu if he’s deàd or alive. The wife is deeply devastated.
