HOJ ONUAKALUSI, MHR, OSHODI/ISOLO II, WRITES FERMA OVER SLOW PACE OF WORK ON MUSHIN -NNPC -EJIGBO ROAD

Lagos – Hon (Barr.) Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, MHR, Oshodi/Isolo II has expressed concern over the slow pace of work on the Mushin -NNPC -Ejigbo road.
The Federal road is an important one that traverses his constituency and he conveyed his dismay in a press release which reads as follows:
“PRESS RELEASE
Concerns over the Progress of the Mushin-NNPC-Ejigbo Road Construction Project
I am writing to bring to your attention the slow pace of the construction work on the Mushin-NNPC-Ejigbo road in Lagos State, which commenced in 2023. Despite the contractor and workers being on site, the project’s progress is uncertain, and its completion within the specified timeframe is in doubt. The project appears to be experiencing “motion without movement.”
As a member of the House Committee on Works and FERMA, I am eager to ensure the timely completion of this project. Therefore, I respectfully urge the Honourable Minister of Works to deploy a team of engineers and experts, including the Federal Controller of Works in charge of the South West and Lagos, to join the inspection team. I suggest this inspection takes place on Monday, July 29, 2024, at noon.
I kindly request a prompt response to this request, as it is essential to address the concerns surrounding this project’s progress.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Hon. (Barr.) Jesse Okey-Joe Onuakalusi
MHR, Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency II, Lagos.
