Today, the last day of December, the last month of the year 2021 is Nkwo Market Day, the day traditionally designated for the propitiation of Ikenga–the Igbo cult of war, adventurism and enterprise, the day traditionally designated for the celebration of victories and the strong, and the day our people gather at Ogbeogonogo Asaba, Nkwo Umunede, Otu Nkwo Onitsha, Nkwo Ukpo, Nkwo Enugwu Ukwu, Nkwo Igbo Ukwu, Nkwo Nnewi and Nkwo Nteje to transact their business as of old.
