Enugu: Gallant Fire Fighters from the Enugu State Fire Service have succeded in bringing a Fire incident at the Enugu headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC under control.
The Fire outbreak which started around 10pm on Sunday, 16th May, 2021 was allegedly caused by arsonists
According to an eyewitness account said the Eye witness informed our correspondent that the hoodlums set operational vehicles in the commission ablaze.
“The hoodlums came in a small bus numbering over 7.
“They succeeded in burning over 5 hilux vans in the premises but the building is still intact as they were in a hurry to leave the scene before reinforcement arrived,” the source said.
Coming just few days after the Udenu LGA office of INEC in Enugu State was gutted by Fire under suspicious circumstances, this Fire outbreak once more raises questions on the level of security guarding key Government establishments in the South East.
