ENUGU POLICE COMMAND LAUNCHES MANHUNT FOR ROBBERS OPERATING IN LEXUS JEEP WHO KILLED THREE POLICEMEN
Enugu: The Enugu State Police Command has launched a manhunt for armed robbers who attack a police patrol vehicle at Chime Avenue New Haven Enugu Wednesday night, killing three of their men.
This contained in a statement issued by the State Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Daniel Ndukwe, also confirmed the death of three policemen shot by the hoodlums.
According to the statement, the Police has launched an intensive manhunt operation to fish out the unknown assailants who, operated in a Lexus Jeep.
The statement reads in part:
“Recall that the occupants of the Lexus Jeep suddenly opened fire on the moving Police Patrol Van on duty.
The shooting led to three of the operatives sustaining severe gunshots wounds and later confirmed dead at the hospital.”
ASP Ndukwe confirmed that the incident happened at about 10:15 Wednesday night along Chime Avenue, New Haven, Enugu.
The statement also stated that further development will be communicated to the media
