ENUGU 2023: LP URGES GOVERNOR ELECT, MBAH TO CLEAR SELF OVER ALLEGED CERTIFICATE FORGERY; VOWS TO RECOVER “STOLEN MANDATE”

Enugu – The Labour Party in Enugu State has asked the Enugu state governor-elect “Place Holder” , Barrister Peter Mba and Enugu PDP to respond and clear all the numerous allegations of corruption against its candidate.
Spokesman of the party, Engr George Ugwu also wondered why the governor elect has failed to respond to the allegations especially the certificate forgery, and plea bargain leveled against him.
According to Ugwu, Nigerians are more educated now, and relying on the Freedom of Information Act, a lot of people especially the Non Governmental Organizations have asked the NYSC for the certificate of all the candidates contesting for the elections.
“NYSC has disowned the certificates which Peter Mbah submitted. The onus is on him (Mbah) to prove otherwise”, the LP spokesperson said.
“What I can tell all supporters of Labour Party is that they should remain calm while Labour Party reclaims it mandates through the court.
LP spokesman further insisted that Labour Party won the governorship election in Enugu State.
“How could Labour Party win majority of state assembly seats, House of Representatives and senate and loose the governorship. Look at the case of Adamawa state, it is the same incident that took place in Enugu that manifested in Adamawa state”
“The only thing that can restore the confidence of the young people in the electoral process is for INEC to insist on doing the right thing”
The Labour party spokesman accused the PDP of failing to respond to the petition filed by the Labour Party and its candidate in the election, Barrister Chijioke Edeoga.
