Enugu: Sen. Ike Ekweremadu, CFR, PhD, former Deputy Senate President and a Frontline Enugu State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governorship aspirant just arrived at the PDP Enugu State Party Secretariat to officially to inform the Party Excos of his Gubernatorial ambition.

Ekweremadu was welcomed on arrival by the State Chairman Hon. Augustine Nnamani, State Secretary Hon. Cletus Akalusi and other top Party officials.

He was accompanied by a high powered entourage including Rt. Hon Dennis Oguerinwa Amadi, Member representing Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ogbo Asogwa (DG Ikeoha Campaign Organisation), Hon. Dr Okey Ozoani (PDP State Vice Chairman West), Hon. Engr Jude Chinedu Asogwa (President Ndi Oganiru Enugu State) and other top dignitaries.

The political landscape of Enugu, the Coal City state has not remained the same since Ekweremadu unveiled his Manifesto “Pathway to a New Enugu State” in February.

Civil Society groups in the state are urging other governorship aspirants both in the PDP and other political parties to likewise unveil their manifestos since that will create the environment for a more robust and issues based campaign.
