SIT AT HOME: ITS COUNTERPRODUCTIVE, PUTTING NDIGBO UNDER PHYSICAL AND MENTAL TORTURE -NNAMDI KANU

Abuja – Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the incarcerated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has once again called for a cessation of the Monday SIT-AT-HOME in the South East region of Nigeria.

Kanu speaking through his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), said he does not believe in the sit-at-home and that it is counterproductive.

According to him, “the sit-at-home is crippling the social, economic, cultural, and political life of the people, and that they are putting the Igbo under psychological, physical, and mental torture”

Ozekhome then reiterated that he was merely delivering the IPOB leader’s message; “I’m now re-echoing again and again what Nnamdi Kanu told me,” He said.

“He does not believe in that sit-at-home on Mondays, which cripples the social, economic, cultural, and political life of the people, putting them under psychological physical, and mental torture”.

Kanu had severally repeated in the past, both in person, in court and through his lawyers, that the Sit At Home should stop.
