DSS ALERTED THE POLICE OVER IMO ATTACKS AHEAD OF TIME-AMACHREE, EX-DSS DEPUTY DIRECTOR


Lagos: The Imo State Command of the Nigerian Police has been alleged to have had actionable intelligence reports ahead of the Easter Monday Owerri attacks.
Mr. Dennis Amachree, a former Deputy Director of the DSS stated that, this morning as a guest during Channels TV morning program, Sunrise Daily.
According to him, “The DSS in Imo State gave intelligence reports to the Imo State Police Command regarding the impending attack; a week, then seventy two hours and again Forty eight hours ahead of the attack”.
He said that it was unfortunate that the Imo State Police Command failed to take action based on the actionable intelligence which the DSS, which he described as a “non fighting force” had placed at their disposal, as a sister agency.
“The DSS some men on surveillance of the Owerri Correctional Facility and the State Police Command and duly alerted the police”.
He also stated that the former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu was speaking based on “guess-tigation” not investigation when he summarily blame IPOB /ESN for the attack.
Amachree further alleged that the Owerri attack may be connected with the “geolocation” of prison in mates.
