DRAMA AS WILANGY, ENUGU APGA REPS CANDIDATE AND PDP JOSTLE OVER GRADING SAME ROAD RURAL

Enugu: The rural road Rehabilitation project of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA House of Representatives candidate in Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency, Chief Wilfred Okeke (Wilangy) appears to be yielding bountiful dividends.
Chief Okeke, who is equally the Chairman/CEO of Wilangy Construction Company Ltd, as a known name in the road construction industry decided to utilize what he had in touching the lives of the good people of Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency by giving rural roads in the two Local Government Areas of his Constituency a face-lift, ahead of the yuletide.
There was however, a pleasant drama at Ngwo-uno during the weekend when the APGA candidate’s graders and other road construction equipment arrived the community to commence work.
On sighting the heavy machines, the Councillor of the area, being of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the ruling party in the state, quickly mobilized another grader on the same road. That did not deter Chief Okeke’s men, as they continued their work from one end while the Councillor commenced his own from the other end.

Commenting on the incident, Chief Okeke expressed happiness that people are emulating him saying that it gives room for healthy competition which can only benefit the masses.“We are happy it’s going this way. If every other party and candidates can roll out machines, our roads would be in better condition, that’s what Enugu needs. Forward ever, our road rehabilitation continues across the Constituency.”
Certainly, that is the beautiful of multi party democracy as the electorates not being encumbered by the monopoly of any particular party, have a variety of parties to choose from.

Indeed, the Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency election is going to be a tough battle between Chief Wilfred Okeke (Wilangy) of APGA, Dr Festus Uzor of the PDP and Barr Sunday Umeha of the Labour Party.
