BREAKING! TINUBU LAMENTS AS BUHARI THWARTS HIS N200B VOTE BUYING ARMADA WITH CBN’S NAIRA REDESIGN
The rigging cum vote buying strategy of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC has apparently suffered a major blow with the insistence of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN that the January 31st deadline for withdrawal of old Naira notes from circulation remains sacrosanct.
According to insider sources, over N200billion belonging to Bola Tinubu kept aside in various private homes for vote buying during the Presidential elections have been rendered useless by the CBN Naira redesign.
Tinubu, the bullion van master of Bourdillon had planned to spend N5billion in vote buying per state. This is why he is alleging sabotage!. Unfortunately, his plan was revealed to President Muhammadu Buhari by a close confidant of Asiwaju.
As usual, the Presidency, as has often been the case under Buhari’s Presidency, has been on a different page from the President himself. In actuality, the Presidency, in this context is the Aso Rock cabal, who leveraging on the President’s I’ll health, run things in the nation’s seat of power, most often without his consent or permission. The Presidency/cabal is currently being headed by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malawi upon the demise of their erstwhile leader and Buhari’s former Chief cod Staff, Abba Kyari.
Asiwaju has a toehold in the Presidency through his agreement with Malami. Through that, the Director of the Department of State Services , DSS as well as the leadership of the National Assembly were recruited into the plot to stampede the Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Ifeanyi Emefiele and thus scuttle the Naira redesign policy; which has become a “chokehold” on Tinubu’s vote buying strategy.
Thus, the DSS Director, the Senate President and Speaker of House of Representatives. Remember that the DSS created a trumped charge of terrorism to arrest the CBN Governor and detain him. The Deputy Governor who would have stepped in would have recommended for the extension of the deadline immediately but that was also busted by the presidency. Listen to Asiwaju very well, he said the powers that be are sabotaging him.
Nigerians ought to ask this salient question: how did Asiwaju manage to accumulate over 200 billion naira in cash. How can such a person serve Nigeria?
Fortuitously, Buhari seems to have enough presence of mind to stand his ground and surprisingly, utilize his enormous Presidential powers in waving aside all objections by the cabal.
However, in the interest of the masses, who the policy is not actually aimed at, the CBN should consider a week’s extension of the discontinuation of the use of the old Naira old Naira notes till 7th February, 2023.
