BREAKING! KENYAN SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS RUTO’S ELECTION, ENDING ODINGA’S ERA

Nairobi, Kenya: The nine man panel of the Kenyan Supreme Court has unanimously rejected the petition filed by Mr Raila Odinga, challenging the victory of William Ruto in the August 9th, 2022 Presidential election.

Announcing the verdict, Chief Justice of Kenya, Justice Martha Koome stated that there were insufficient grounds to upturn the election since the appellant

For instance, the chief justice said there was no evidence that election forms in the online results portal were changed from the original printed forms.

Justice Koome, in a stinging criticism of some of those who presented affidavits, warns lawyers against presenting misleading or fabricated evidence.

In one case she said that the evidence proved to be “hot air” and sent the court on “a wild goose chase”.
