BREAKING! IPOB ANNOUNCES WEEKLY LOCKDOWN UNTIL KANU IS RELEASED

NoThe Directorate of State of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has announced what it termed a “Weekly Lockdown of Biafra land” over the continued detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the group.

A statement issued on Wednesday, 28th July, 2021 and signed by Mazi Chika Edoziem, Head, Directorate of State of IPOB, the group reads: “The Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra is very much aware of the strategy of the Fulani Government of Nigeria to subject the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Worldwide, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to Media Trial and to convict him in the public before giving that an official stamp through the comprised Nigerian Judicial system.

The global community knows that self determination is not a crime.In recognition of the above Facts and Truths, the Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra demand herewith an unconditional release and immediate release of our leader on or before 8th August, 2021, failing which we shall start a Weekly LOCKDOWN of Biafra land starting from 9th August, 2021.For avoidance of doubt, this Lockdown shall continue every Monday until our leader is released”
