BIAFRAN HOODLUMS VOW TO BURN DOWN NEW HAVEN MARKET FOR DEFYING MONDAY SIT-AT-HOME

Enugu: Biafran hoodlums claiming to be members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) stormed New Haven Market in the heart of Enugu metropolis, threatening to burn down the market for defying the Monday Sit-at-home order.

According to Ozioma (real name withheld) , an eye witness and a trader, the fierce looking young men came in tricycles ‘keke’.

“I was inside the market when they came around 7am in Keke. They were five in number and looked fierce with some wearing dreadlocks.

“When they wanted to enter, the gate man refused to open the gate, they now told him that they learnt the market was opening on Mondays in contravention of the Sit at Home order.

“They now threatened to burn down the market if they returned and met it open. They then left after taking pictures of the market”

The traders closed the market afterwards while complaining of being forced to close business on a Monday during the festive season.

It is high time IPOB makes good her threat of apprehending these hoodlums terrorizing the people under the guise of enforcing the sit-at-home which IPOB has cancelled.
