ARMED ENUGU SIT AT HOME ENFORCERS OPEN FIRE ON BUS, REPORTEDLY KILLING TWO

Enugu: Armed Sit at Home enforcers opened fire on a bus laden with passengers, this Monday morning at Colliery Hospital by New Market, Enugu, leaving two persons reportedly dead and others seriously wounded.
The passengers, mostly petty traders and women had left their homes early to attend to their businesses when they incurred the wrath of the gunmen who left the scene immediately after the brazen attack on unarmed defenseless citizens.
However, there seems to be conflicting information regarding the level of casualties and fatalities following the attack.
Eyewitness accounts claim that at least two persons were killed. However, the Police confirmed the incident but insisted that there were no fatalities.
According to Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ASP Daniel Ndukwe; “there was a shooting incident at Odegba, along Iva Valley Road, Enugu in the early hours of this morning, by yet-to-be identified armed men, which led to the injury of two persons.
“However, the victims are responding to treatment at the hospital where they were promptly taken to by Police Operatives, who swiftly responded to a distress call on the incident.”
Citizens of Enugu are worried that the Coal City which used to be one of the safest cities in the country is now rattled by the activities of “Unknown Gunmen”
