APPEAL COURT FREES NNAMDI KANU



Abuja: A three man panel of the Appeal Court, today in Abuja discharged and acquitted the Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The court holds that the Federal High Court lacks the jurisdiction to try him in view of his abduction and extraordinary rendition to Nigeria in flagrant violation of the OAU Convention on Extradition.
.
It held that the 15 count charge preferred against Kanu did not disclose the place, date nature and time of the alleged Offences before being unlawfully extradited in clear violation of international laws and treaties.
