Awka – The Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has announced that a Chinatown shall be developed in the State for foster business relationships between Anambra State and the Government and people of China.
Soludo made this assertion while speaking at the ongoing Anambra Investment Summit 2023.
Governor Soludo also spoke of the establishment of an Export Free Trade Zone at Ukwulu- Ikpo located on one thousand hectares of land.
He also spoke of the Akwihedi-Unubi- Uga Automotive Park which shall be coming on stream soonest.
In his speech, the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria,Mr Cui Jianchun, commended Governor Soludo for his tremendous developmental strides.
He also expressed the readiness of the Government and people of China to invest in the economy of Anambra State, for mutual benefits, based on amazing potentialities of the State.
” This just shouldn’t be talks, we should be closing deals”.
Today, we shall be signing several MOUs with Afrexim bank and the Chinese.
The Governor also announced that the second automotive industry in the State, after Innoson, belonging to the Ọma ọ Group shall be commissioned at Umunya, Oyi LGA tomorrow.
