Alhaji Ahmed Gulak, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been killed by unknown gunmen in Imo State.
Gulak, a former aide of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was shot dead by unknown gunmen while returning to Abuja from Owerri, Imo state capital.
The late Adamawa State born politician was in the news in 2018, when as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries for Imo West Senatorial District, he absonconded from Imo State without announcing the results, citing security concerns over his safety.
Owelle Rochas Okorocha, the then Imo State Governor was declared the party’s flag bearer and eventually won the election.
