ABIA 2023: ABARIBE PICKS PDP NOMINATION FORM

Abuja: Senator Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe, Senate Minority Leader and Senator representing Abia South District on Tuesday picked the Governorship nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The Senator who is seen as being very popular with the Igbo masses, based on his principled defense of the Igbo Agenda at all times told a throng of supporters who accompanied him to the Wadata Plaza, National Secretariat of the main opposition party that he would be “a Governor for all Abians, regardless of one’s Senatorial zone, Local Government”.
Abaribe became “the doyen of Igbo Street credibility” after standing surety for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the incarcerated Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB in 2017.
Despite the inherent threats, the one time Deputy Governor of Abia State stated that he had no regrets and that he was “ready to surety Kanu again, if the need arises”.
Last year November, Ohanaeze Ndigbo in South Africa bestowed a well deserved award on Abaribe and Senator Ike Ekweremadu, the former Deputy Senate President for outstanding service to Ndigbo.
Incidentally, Senator Ekweremadu had also picked a nomination form for the Enugu State Governorship election.
