ABA GARMENT FACTORY, IKPEAZU’S LEGACY PROJECT SET TO OPEN

Aba – The Enyimba Garment Factory which the Abia State Government initiated in 2021 is getting set to open for business.

The massive modern garment factory located at Umunneato Umuakilika in Obingwa local government area is one of the legacy projects of the outgoing government of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

The factory when fully operational will be able to produce 1500 high quality garments per day and provide over 1200 direct jobs to residents of Abia State.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as part of his exit plans paid a site assessment visit to the factory to inspect the ongoing installation of equipment at the factory.

The garment factory is part of economic revival programme initiated by the Abia State government to boost local production of goods, especially in the industrial hub of Aba. 

Earlier, a Shoe Factory had already been established and some select shoemakers taken abroad for proper training on industrial scale production of shoes.
