2023: UGWUANYI JOINS IGBO HATER WIKE ON CAMPAIGN VISIT TO EBONYI AFTER SHUNNING PETER OBI

Enugu : In a viral video, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State is seen alongside Abubakar Dankwambo, former Gombe State Governor participating in the presidential campaign visit of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.

This comes after Ugwuanyi had recently snubbed frontline Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Igbo presidential aspirant, Mr Peter Obi, who recently the Enugu State Government House, as part of his presidential campaign.

Unfortunately, the Enugu State Governor delegated his Deputy, Barr Cecilia Ezeilo to receive Obi.

So many groups including the Frontline Pro Biafran group, Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State Of Biafra, MASSOB are unhappy with what they see as “betrayal of Ndigbo” due to Wike’s record as an Igbo hater.

Political analysts see the current romance between Governors Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Okezie Ikpeazu of Enugu and Abia States respectively as part of the strategies towards securing victory at the forthcoming PDP primaries for themselves and their “annointed” Governorship aspirants in their various states.

Both Ugwuanyi and Ikpeazu have tricky governorship primaries in their states, following the entrance of Senators Ike Ekweremadu and Enyinnaya Abaribe into the governorship races of their respective states.

Although a divisive and controversial figure, Wike is seen as one of the king makers in the PDP.
