We Can Never Tolarate Betrayals —— MASSOB

The leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has condemned in it’s entirety, the support given to the presidential aspiration of Governor Nyeson Wike of Rivers State by some Igbo governors and some other political leaders.

In a statement issued on Friday by the MASSOB National Director of Publicity, Comrade Samuel Edeson, the Pro Biafran group condemned what it referred to as “betrayal” by some South East governors.

Recall that the media is presently awash with stories of Governors Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Okezie Ikpeazu of Enugu and Abia States respectively openly canvassing support for Wike’s presidential aspiration.

Governor Wike had been en accused of genocide by several well meaning Igbo groups, including International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety) for his atrocious handling of alleged IPOB members in Obigbo, Rivers State, leading to the death, forced disappearance and continued incarceration of so many Igbo youths in Obigbo and its environs.

It is very disappointing and unpatriotic that some Igbo political leaders whom Ndigbo gave mandate to represent Igbo interest will work against Igbo man aspiring to be president of Nigeria. How could some of our governors support a man who openly denied his igboness, a man whose pathological hatred against Ndigbo is overwhelmingly seen?

MASSOB warned Igbo leaders to stop their selfish actions that are capable of distorting the overall interest of the southeast region because pro Biafra agitators will never tolarate such political selfishness now.

Governor Nyeson Wike is not interested in aspiring for the presidency, he is an errand boy to his master, Governor Tambuwal of sokoto state, our Igbo political leaders should know that Nyeson Wike is deceiving them. 2023 is the turn of southeast to produce the next president of Nigeria, nobody can stop it including our internal saboteurs.

Ndigbo are now more wiser because of 2023 general election. We can never forgive any Igbo leader that betrays our collective interest in 2023, irrespective of his position, we shall mark them.
